MAGPIE – sMArt Green Ports as Integrated Efficient multimodal hubs

On 10 March 2022, project MAGPIE organises its first dissemination event in a hybrid setting in Rotterdam. This event is co-organized by the Port of Rotterdam as a host, the AIVP – dissemination leader, and the 43 other organizations from the MAGPIE consortium: representatives from different organizations, port authorities, knowledge institutions, commercial companies, branch organizations, and many more…, all as diverse as the European maritime sector is.

Speakers and consortium members can attend physically, other guests can follow the conference online.
Online streaming will be accessible from their website!

You will find the detailed agenda and more information about the conference and the speakers on the event website.

Background information about the project

MAGPIE’s ambition was to shape the green ports of the future – to force a breakthrough in the supply and use of green energy carriers in transport to, from and within ports. By demonstrating and implementing smart solutions in the realm of digitalization and automation, the project aimed to facilitate and contribute to the decarbonization of port-related transport. The project has consisted of 10 Work Packages, involving the testing and demonstration of technical and non-technological innovations. The partners worked on the development of a Masterplan for European Green Ports; a roadmap thereto and a handbook to accelerate the development of sustainable maritime and inland European ports.
