The Dutch specialised edition “Schuttevaer”, publishing about inland navigation, shipbuilding, offshore, fishing, shipping and cruising, selected their key sector figureheads of 2022. We are proud to find among them Leny van Toorenburg, the European IWT Platform member of the Nautical and Technical and Infrastructure Committees and nautical consultant of Koninklijke Binnenvaart Nederland (KBN).
Leny’s regular interventions in the media during the summer low-water period were always constructive and optimistic. She underlined that Dutch inland navigation is resilient enough to face such challenges, especially if the inland navigation infrastructure gets higher support.
