Representatives from 45 European transport organizations joined forces during the closing ceremony to present the manifesto of the “More EU budget for transport” campaign to Magda Kopczyńska, Director General of DG MOVE. This united effort aims to urge the Council and European Parliament to enhance the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) budget for transport in the forthcoming Multi-Annual Financial Framework review.
The transport sector holds strategic importance in addressing Europe’s geostrategic, environmental, and capacity challenges. To strengthen resilience, lead the net-zero transition, and complete the Trans-European Transport Network, increased EU support is imperative.
